NEELYVILLE, Mo. - Greg Dawsey, 66, of Corning, Arkansas, passed away September 22, 2018 in the Saint Bernard's Hospital at Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born June 1, 1952, at Opelousas, Louisiana to Fred Henry Dawsey and Jewell Harris of Port Barre, Louisiana.

On October 18, 1971 at Port Barre, Louisiana he was married to Darlene Blagg. She survives.

Surviving; two sons, William Dawsey of Corning, Arkansas and Nicolas Cole Dawsey and wife Hanna N. of McDougal, Arkansas. Daughter, Myria Dawsey Harmon and husband Luke of Paragould, Arkansas. His mother, Jewell Harris of Port Barre, Louisiana also survives as well as, two sisters; Wanda Chastain and Glenda Werner both of Crosby, Texas, his mother-in-law Doris Blagg of Corning, Arkansas as well as his grandchildren; Ryan, Alex and Asher.

He was preceded in death by his father as well as two brothers; Karl Dawsey and Marvin Dawsey.

Greg served in the Marine Corps and then the United States Army where he retired from the Military Police after 24 years. He continued to serve his community as a Registered Nurse and a Mental Health Counselor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, football, shooting guns and his children and grandchildren.

Visitation for Greg will be Wednesday September 26, 2018 starting at noon with the funeral following at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home of Neelyville. Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery near Harviell, Missouri. Donnie Fowler, officiating.
