Sharon Crisel is the newest inductee into the Puxico Alumni Teacher Hall of Fame. She was honored at the Annual Puxico Alumni meeting Aug. 17 at the Puxico School Cafeteria.
Teaching always has been Sharon's passion. She dedicated 25 years to teaching and 22 were at Puxico schools. She was a teacher for the migrant program, high school and elementary physical education and elementary art teacher. She coached and kick started the Puxico High School girls basketball program. She also started the annual play day which is till held in the school district today.
Aside from teaching and raising three children, who also graduated from Puxico, Sharon led the Puxico Warriors 4-H Club and Puxico Country Squares Club.
She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University and is a 1964 graduate of Puxico High School. She is married to Larry Crisel.
Her name will added to the Puxico Alumni Hall of Fame plaque hanging on the wall in the Puxico Junior High building.
