The Poplar Bluff City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the city council chambers at the Black River Coliseum.

Items on the workshop agenda include: an employment contract for city manager Mark Massingham; and tourism.

Items on the action agenda include: creation of a bulky trash pick up program; and amendment to ordinance related to vacation of right-of-way on Shelby Road.

A closed session is also planned.

Library board

The Poplar Bluff Municipal Library District Board of Trustees will meet at 4 p.m. Monday at the library.

Items on the agenda include a purchasing policy, library foundation, memorandum of understanding with South Central Missouri Community Action Agency Head Start programs; and a closed session.

Park board

The Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation Board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at the park office.

Items on the agenda include reports on programs and financials, and a closed session.

P&Z

The Poplar Bluff Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the city council chambers.

Items on the workshop and voting session include: a request to rezone 1030, 1034, 1038, 1042 Butler St., 810 S. 11th St. and a vacant lot from RS-3 central area residential to RA-2 residential apartment for continued and multi-family residential use. Applicants are Lee and Cindy Bowden, Kennth Johnson, Thomas Sullivan, Michael and Linda Robinson, Rhonda Williams and Sam and Rite Schalk.

Fair housing

The Poplar Bluff Fair Housing Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the city council chambers.

Items on the agenda include a presentation from Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commission.

Historical

preservation

The Poplar Bluff Historical Preservation Commission will meet at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at the city council chambers.

Items on the agenda include proposed local landmark status, historic district signs and 426 and 432 N. Main St.

Meetings for the disabilities advisory board, residential housing board, building standards have been cancelled for next week.
