Terry Dale Henson, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at his residence in rural Ripley County.
Mr. Henson, son of Harley Lee and Mable M. (Atkinson) Henson, was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Cairo, Illinois. He was retired from BP Oil as a line spotter and enjoyed bingo and fishing as a hobby. Mr. Henson was a member of Twin Pines Pentecostal Church, life member of VFW Post #3485 and a member of the American Legion in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1972.
On Dec. 23, 1971, he was married to Brenda Muse in Flat River, Missouri, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2012.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mike and Troy Henson.
Surviving are two children: Todd (and Cheri) Henson of Doniphan and Rebecca (and Kevin) Brown of Williamsville, Missouri; three sisters, Janice Henson, Terry's twin sister Sherry (and Larry) Coleman of Steeleville and Jackie (and Roger) Sturgeon of Yukon, Oklahoma; one brother, Roy (and Pat) Henson of Imperial, Missouri; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, Aug. 28, 2018, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in the Bardley Cemetery.
