Hwy. signs confusing

Hello Speakout. You know I seldom take Highway 160 to Doniphan because I just really don't have any particular reason to go to Doniphan. But, I did go over there this week. Somebody needs to do something about the signage with regard to the passing lane on 160. I believe that signage could result in accidents through misinterpretation. For that matter, who really knows how to interpret it? Whoever ... a engineer I suppose, whoever did that was probably must also be involved in some of the other weird intersections we have in this part of the country. But it would really be nice for someone of authority would look into that and see if something couldn't be done so that the sign on the side of the highway would make more sense. Thank you.

Fence off junkyards

Yes, what used to be a nice town, Fisk that is, now I'm looking and nothing but a bunch of junk yards. Behind the bank is a big junk yard and down there across the elementary is a big junk yard. All of them all up town. I can't believe they want to put junkyards in nice little towns that used to be. County or somebody needs to put a fence up around all that junk.

Barron Rd. speeding

Dear Speakout I saw in the DAR about the speeders on Barron Road and the council's looking into it. I have an idea. Why don't they install four or five 40 mile, 35 mph signs along Barron Road with a $1,000 fine for speeding and install speed activated cameras like on the interstate to get the speeders' license plate number. They could probably make enough money from fined, from fines from speeders to pay for the signs and the cameras. Just a thought. Thank you.

Gravel road problems

I live on County Road 420. Our road is so bad that it is going to tear up my new vehicle. The county should finish blacktopping the road before it washes out again. They waste so much money on replacing the gravel every time we get a heavy rain. Thank you and please post this.
