WILLIAMSVILLE, Mo. -- Forrest W. 'Frosty' Eads, 97, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Monday, June 18, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
He was born April 1, 1921 to parents Jack and Orlena (Parton) Eads in Piedmont, Mo.
On Sept. 12, 1942, Forrest enlisted in the United States Army traveling from the United States to Australia, New Guinea, and the Philippine Islands. He proudly served our country receiving three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, Honorable Service Lapel Button, WWII Victory Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Forrest met the love of his life, Mildred Dougherty. They married March 7, 1946 and to this union six children were born. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Forrest had several job opportunities, he was a logger, dump truck driver and owned school busses and ran bus routes for Greenville School District. Attended Gospel Light House Church until he was not able to do so. He was a man that put his family first, enjoyed tinkering, gardening and his tomato plants and he dearly loved his grandkids. He lived in Williamsville for many, many years and had many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Forrest is preceded in death by both parents; his brothers: Clinton, Clayton, Norman, Loyal, Paul Eads and one sister: Ruby Weston.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years; children: Jr. (Linda) Eads of Williamsville, Mo., Donnie (Sue) Eads of St. Charles, Ill., Peggy York of St. Louis, Mo., JoAn (Lonnie) Thurston of Greenville, Mo., Sharon (Doug) Eisenbeis of Williamsville, Mo., Robin (Ronnie) Barks of Silva, Mo.; grandchildren: Alesia, Finley, Kevin, Sheila, Mark, Darren, Michael, Jason, Daniel, Holly, Joanna, Jacob, and Caleb; 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Williamsville. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m, Friday, June 22, 2018 also at the Williamsville chapel.
