NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Carol Sue Maynard, 66, of Doniphan, Mo. passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Maynard was born on June 23, 1951 in Flatwoods, Mo. She had worked as a CNA at the Current River Nursing Home. She enjoyed crochet, sewing, crafts, baby sitting and she loved children. Carol had served as pastor's wife at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Harviell, West Doniphan Missionary Baptist Church, Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Oxly, and First Baptist Church in Neelyville.
On July 30, 1970, Carol married Frank Maynard in Neelyville, Mo. He preceded her in death Sunday, March 13, 2005.
Surviving is one son, Dewayne Maynard and wife Kimberly of Ellsinore, Mo.; sisters, Charlotte Hudson (Randy) of Marble, Ark., Kathy Stadler of Milwaukee, Wis., Joyce French of Doniphan, Mo., Ida Gwaltney of West Plains; brothers, John Stadler (Pauline) of Dalton, Ga., Robert Stadler of Doniphan, Mo., Rick Stadler (Karla) of West Fork, Ark., Gary Larabee of Holton, Mich.; six grandchildren, Mary Jo, Danyale, Elizabeth, Isabella, Ava and Cordelia; two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Cooper; as well as deeply loved nieces and nephews and several children and grandchildren adopted in her heart.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Estella Stadler; two sisters, Edna Larabee and Estella Graham; and five brothers, Gene, Hurshel, Bill, Joe and Tom.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the chapel with Elder Jerry Adams and Elder Rob Duckett officiating. Burial will take place in the Kinsey Cemetery in Harviell.
