Robert Wesley Adams, Sr. 71, of Commerce, Mo., died Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 2, 1946 in Blytheville, Ark. to the late Charles Adams and Virginia Elder Adams. He was married to Peggy DeBord Adams. She survives.
Robert served in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He received a Purple Heart. After his military service he was a self employed farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is also survived by two sons, Robert W. Adams, Jr. of Katy, Texas, and Mark DeBord of Surprise, Ariz.; two daughters, Donna Andrews of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Kathy Price of Kenosha, Wis.; two brothers, Buddy Adams of Wappapello, Mo., and Gary Adams of Front Royal, Va.; two sisters, Mary Wilkerson of Ill., and Doris Casitllo of Wappapello; seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
