ELLINGTON, Mo. -- Rev. William "Bill" T. White went to his heavenly home on May 19, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home in Ellington. He was born Oct. 1, 1935 in Portageville, Mo., to the late T.W. White and Clara (Carter) White. He attained the age of 82 years, seven months and 18 days. Bill was also preceded in death by his oldest son, Ronnie White on Aug. 17, 2003. Three brothers and six sisters also preceded him in death...

ELLINGTON, Mo. -- Rev. William "Bill" T. White went to his heavenly home on May 19, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home in Ellington. He was born Oct. 1, 1935 in Portageville, Mo., to the late T.W. White and Clara (Carter) White. He attained the age of 82 years, seven months and 18 days. Bill was also preceded in death by his oldest son, Ronnie White on Aug. 17, 2003. Three brothers and six sisters also preceded him in death.

On Jan. 17, 1953 he married the love of his life, Allene Petty in Senatobia, Miss.; she survives of the home. They were married 65 wonderful years and were blessed with five children, four of whom survive. One daughter, Geraldine (Gene) Hettel of Doniphan, Mo.; three sons, Billy White and Randy (Cheryl) White all of Ellington, and Gregory (Linda) White of Van Buren, Mo.; A special daughter-in-law, Carmen White of Salem, Mo. He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

William and his wife, Allene, pastored the Dryhill Community Church at Ellsinore, Mo., for five years. They did a lot of Evangelistic work and loved to hold revivals. They held many revivals in several Southeast Missouri towns including Holcomb, Wardell and Hayti. In his free time he enjoyed hunting deer and rabbits. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Bill was a wonderful, kindhearted man that will be greatly missed.

Visitation was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellington with the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Ronnie White officiated.

Burial followed in the Ellington Memorial Cemetery.
