POWE, Mo. -- A two-vehicle wreck May 12 north of the Powe community left three individuals injured, with an Arkansas man facing charges involving the accident.According to the Highway Patrol, Michael S. Lucas, 27, of Rector was northbound in the southbound lane of Rt. H, 3.5 miles north of Powe when he struck a southbound vehicle head-on. Lucas, driving a 1999 Ford Explorer, struck a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero driven by Rosetta A. Dyle, 36, of Dexter.Lucas was airlifted to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tenn. for treatment of serious injuries.Dyle also sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. A passenger in the Dyle vehicle, Ricky L. Green, 57, of Dudley, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Both occupants in the Dyle vehicle were equipped with seat belts. Lucas was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.The accident occurred just before 9 p.m. May 12 Lucas was later charged with felony DWI involving an assault, C&I driving involving an accident, no seat belt and for not having a valid driver's license.
