The Poplar Bluff FBLA chapter recently was recognized at the Missouri State Leadership Conference in Springfield and several individual students medaled, one of whom will go on to compete nationally. The Poplar Bluff FBLA chapter recently was recognized at the Missouri State Leadership Conference in Springfield and several individual students medaled, one of whom will go on to compete nationally.

Adeesh Mishra, a senior, placed first in client leadership, qualifying for the National Future Business Leaders of America competition this summer in Baltimore. Adeesh also placed fifth in the global business category with classmate Wyatt Murphy. Cara Bubanovich, a junior, and senior Shelby Eichhorn placed eighth in digital video production.

The Poplar Bluff High School FBLA also earned chapter of the year for going the extra mile, participating in multiple community activities, according to advisor Crystal Huddleston, a business education instructor.
