FISK, Mo. -- William "Bill" Davis, 72, of Wappapello, Mo., died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence in Wappapello. Mr. Davis was born Nov. 10, 1945 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to the late Lewis and Viola Davis. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Emerson Electric in Kennett. He was a member of the VFW in Wappapello and was a former post commander. He enjoyed fishing and rebuilding tractors...

FISK, Mo. -- William "Bill" Davis, 72, of Wappapello, Mo., died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence in Wappapello.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 10, 1945 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to the late Lewis and Viola Davis. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Emerson Electric in Kennett. He was a member of the VFW in Wappapello and was a former post commander. He enjoyed fishing and rebuilding tractors.

He is survived by one daughter: Debbie Mulkey of Kingston, Ga.; one son: Richard Davis of Cartersville, Ga.; two sisters: Virley Matlock of Crane, Mo. and Suzie Ellison of Aguanga, Calif.; one brother: Jerry Davis of Kimberling City, Mo.; his companion: Barbara Garris of Wappapello; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson, Mo.
