Michael L. Gulledge Morlan, 59, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with his heavenly Father Sunday, April 29, 2018. He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer with his family surrounding him. His brother was his caregiver.

Michael was born Oct. 11, 1958 to Sonny and Pearl Gulledge in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Before moving back to Poplar Bluff He had resided in Little Rock, Ark for over 35 years. Michael worked at Saint Vincent's Hospital as a critical Care Tech for many years. At one time in addition to working at Saint Vincent's he also worked at the "Heart Hospital" in Little Rock. He was well liked- by his co-workers and the Doctors. The Doctors would say "I want Michael to take care of my patients". One of the highlights at working at Saint Vincent's Hospital was to meet President Bill Clinton and Hillary. Hillary's father Hugh E. Rodham was a patient of Michael's. Michael said Hillary and the family were very nice.

He attended Poplar Bluff schools. Michael was of the Baptist faith and attended the Baptist Church in Little Rock. He loved the out of doors.

Michael was on a bowling league with his fellow co-workers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Cidney, helping people, and music. He loved visiting Arizona and had a passion for decorating with South-West Decor.

Surviving is his husband Guy Lester Morlan. They had been together for 23 years and married for five. Also surviving are his mother Pearl Gulledge, one sister Pam Berry, one brother Joseph B. Gulledge, his little dog Cidney, all of Poplar Bluff. His father Sonny Gulledge preceded him in death on March 9, 2001.

Visitation will be at noon Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Internment will be at Ash Hill Cemetery at Fisk, Mo.
