Zjequalin Keshon Cody, 10, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 1, 2007, to Aaron Cody and Chaquana Townsend in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a student at the Poplar Bluff Middle School.

He had a personality that you couldn't forget, and his teachers and friends always said he was funny. He was always full of energy and enjoyed hugging and telling people he loved them. Zjequalin was a great dancer and liked to sing his favorite song, "Share My Love," by R. Kelly. His favorite superhero was Spiderman and always had things with Spiderman on them. He loved school and this year had made better grades and for the first time was on the honor roll. He always tried to be responsible, especially helping around the house with his younger siblings.

Zjequalin is survived by his mother, Chaquana Townsend and her boyfriend, Terry Johns and his father, Aaron Cody; six siblings, Aaron Cody Jr., Terry Johns, La'Niyah Johns and Lyricka Dudley, all of Poplar Bluff, Kyngston Cody of Columbia, Mo., and Khalil Allen of Malden, Mo.; grandparents, Marsha Wilderness of St. Louis, Elisa and Odell Wright of Poplar Bluff, and Charles Townsend of Sikeston.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at noon in the Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church Sanctuary with Bishop Ronnie Webb officiating.

Burial will take place in the Malden City Cemetery.

Moore Funeral Service of Poplar Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
