The Butler County Community Resource Council will host its annual Job and College Transfer Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Bess Activity Center on the Three Rivers College campus.
According to CRC Executive Director Rebecca Pacheco, the event is an opportunity to submit applications to local employers, learn about education and financial aid options at TRC, and for current TRC students to discuss transferring to a four-year college or university with an array of representatives.
"The main thing is that we really encourage the job seekers to come prepared, dressed for success with a resume and ready to express what they're looking for in a job," said Pacheco, adding there are currently 39 local employers and 18 universities registered to attend. Industries represented range from retail, to factory work, to law enforcement.
Pacheco recommends job seekers dress business casual. She suggested khaki pants and a blouse for females and for men, khaki pants with a Polo-style shirt or a button down.
"Try to avoid wearing shorts, or T-shirts with slogans," she said.

According to its website, the CRC works with social services providers, churches, the business community and the educational system, in order to empower families and individuals to become more self-reliant, responsible and resourceful.
