Jearald Wayne Dover, 76, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his home.
He was born on July 21, 1941 to Abie and Nellie (Pennington) Dover in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a member of Little Brown General Baptist Church and was an over-the-road truck driver for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and collector of trains and Avon bottles.
He leaves behind a wife of 38 years, Betty (Vaughn) Dover whom he married on Sept. 8, 1979 in Poplar Bluff; daughters, Tammy (Dana) Stine, Sandy (Mike) Wood, Becky (Jesse) Sanders, Laressa (Joey) Vaughn; sons, (Bud) Gerald (Shelly) Dover, Terry (Kaye) Dover, Larry (Brandy) Barriner, Daniel (Selena) Barriner; brothers, Ron and Gale Dover and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Prior to his marriage to Betty he married Carol Chronister on April 6, 1959.
He was preceded in death by his father Abie Dover, his mother Nellie Dover, daughters Kathleen and Theresa Ann Dover, his grandson Jason Robertson, sisters Imogene and Suzie (Cooley), brothers Clem (Junior), James, Dan and Robert, and father and mother-in-law; Inez and Jodie Vaughn.
Visitation will be held 1 - 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff with Brother Kenny Durham officiating. Burial will take place in the City Cemetery.
