FISK, Mo. -- Colver "Cobb" Clanahan, 79, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Mr. Clanahan was born Dec. 28, 1938 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. son of the late Leo and Ada Hendrickson Clanahan. He was a member of Agee Fellowship Church at Poplar Bluff, Mo., where he served as a deacon and formerly was a youth leader and was a wonderful mentor and witness. He was a retired mail carrier with the USPS. He loved nature and through the years had planted over 2,000 trees on the family farm.
On March 26, 1960 he married Rita Hill at Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Also surviving are one son: Michael Clanahan and wife Kim of Augusta, Mo.; two daughters: Kim Bradley and husband Michael and Tracy Clanahan, two brothers: Kenny Clanahan and wife Diana and Bill Clanahan and wife Cathy, one sister: Mary Urich and husband Glen, all of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildren: Amanda, April, Phillip, Lindsay, Maddy, Holly, Brittany, Kelsey, James, Daniel and Stephanie and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: Gart and Elsie Hill, and one brother: Dr. Carl Clanahan.
Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery at Williamsville, Mo.
The family request any memorials be given to the Agee Fellowship Church Building Fund.
