CORNING, Ark. - Garland "Jake" Duff, 97, of Doniphan, MO passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.

He was born on September 5, 1920 in Maynard AR to Andrew J. Duff and, Alma Crowell Duff.

On September 5, 1938 he married the love of his life, Sybil Carter.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Sybil, his parents; Andrew & Alma Duff, five brothers; Rector, Sybert, Niles, A.J., and Warren, four sisters; Rosalind, Mabel, Ruth, and Virginia. One grandson,;Lonnie James and one granddaughter; Tammy Duff Kurtz

He is survived by one son; Lonnie (Elaine) Duff of Doniphan, MO., two granddaughters; Cheryl (Gordon) Heldt of Conway, MO., and Julie (Beau) Smith of Lebanon, MO. Four great grandchildren; Nathan & Ryan Hill, and Christopher Kurtz and Amanda Kennedy, Eight great great grandchildren; Allison, Landon, Raelyn Hill, Sammy, Teagan, Ezra Kurtz, and Joshua & Emma Kennedy and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jake as many knew him by was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Jake worked at Sun Strands in Rockford III. Jake and Sybil later moved to Corning, Ark. where they made their home for many years. Jake loved working with his horses and his dogs. Jake was a loving father, grandfather, great great grandfather, and uncle. He loved his family dearly, and his friends. He will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Robinson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
