Barbara Meredith Phillips (Pepmiller), 81, passed peacefully Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, surrounded by her daughters.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother and father, Kathryn and Richard Pepmiller of Doniphan Mo.; her husband, Don; her younger brother, Sam Pepmiller of Plymouth, Minn.; and her son-in-law, Jesse Pippins of Collinsville, Ill.

She is survived by her daughters, Merry Pippins of Collinsville and Donna Hollander of Boonville, Ind.; her grandchildren, Victoria (Katy) Pippins, Jesse Pippins IV, Kyle Hollander and Taylor Hollander.

Barbara was born Dec. 31, 1936 in Doniphan, Mo. Barbara was a true servant of her Lord and Savior. She started the kindergarten and pre-school programs of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo., where she taught for over 30 years. She was active in her church and in Sunday School, choir, bell choir, orchestra, JOY group and numerous mission trips. She was an avid volunteer throughout the community of Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau. Barbara could be seen daily working at the United Gospel Rescue

Mission signing folks in or behind the counter serving. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and Beta Tau Master.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m, with the Memorial service beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff Mo. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Barbara's life.
