To the Editor,
Starting another new year. Seems the years come faster all the time. I do not make any New Year's resolutions. Someone said they were only made to be broken. Last year was such a terrible year for the United States!! I am sending out some very positive thoughts and prayers that this year will be better than last year. We cannot do anything about the floods. But can surely pray about the gun violence.
Had the terrible floods in Texas, then two terrible shootings happening. One in Nevada at the musical concert, then one happening in a church. How could someone do something like that in a church house?
I cannot wrap my mind around something like that. Maybe I shouldn't say this, but isn't it great that the shooters won't ever do anything like that again.
Well I wish everyone a good new year. We do not have to have a happy new year. I have always thought if we have some problems, that causes us to appreciate the good times more. And who said we were to always have good times. Having problems and taking care of them only causes us to be stronger I think.
