CORNING, Ark. - Winnie Rogers, 86, of Corning, passed away Feb. 3, 2018 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Mrs. Rogers was a retired department supervisor for Corning Hospital. CORNING, Ark. - Winnie Rogers, 86, of Corning, passed away Feb. 3, 2018 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Mrs. Rogers was a retired department supervisor for Corning Hospital. She enjoyed gardening flowers, cooking, volunteering for many organizations including the mission, attending church and reading the Bible. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.

On June 10, 1950, she married Wayne Rogers. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1995.

Survivors include her children Fred Rogers of Naylor, Mo., Anna Bryant and Paula Rogers both of Corning; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Grove and Elva James; son Edwin Allen Rogers; 10 brothers; sisters Beulah Murphy and Faye Henson; grandson Henry Rogers; great-grandson Derek McComas; and great-great-grandson Preston Pierce.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will be in Corning Cemetery.
