FISK, Mo. - Grace Colter, age 95, of Fisk died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Westwood Hills Health Care Center, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mrs. Colter was born April 3, 1922 in Lynnville, Iowa, daughter of the late Henry and Hilda Remmenga. She was a member of the former Landreth Chapel General Baptist Church and had attended Black River General Baptist Church. On July 20, 1939 she married James "Bud" Colter. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1998.
She is survived by one son: James R. Colter of Poplar Bluff; five daughters: Wilma J. Clark, Shirley Parkin Moore and husband Ron, and Glenda Evans all of Poplar Bluff, Judy Jett and husband Jerry of Paragould, Ark., and Marilyn Seely and husband Gene of Shreveport, La.; Daugter-in-law: Marcell Jean Colter of Poplar Bluff; 16 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons: Kenneth Dale, Jack and Jerry Leroy Colter; three son-in-laws: one grandchild: and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk, Mo.
