NAYLOR -- Tied at halftime, the Twin Rivers Royals edged Naylor in the third quarter before holding on in the fourth to win 49-43 in an Ozark Foothills Conference game Monday.
Zach Hargraves took all of Twin Rivers' free throws in the fourth quarter, going 4 for 7 in the frame and 6 for 9 overall for a team-high 16 points. Aaron Mittlestadt also had 16 points and Jamie Robards added 11 for the Royals (10-9).
Zeke Ward had 18 points for Naylor (5-10) after scoring nine in the second quarter.
The night was also senior night for Naylor.
"Those guys are a huge reason why our culture has changed and our program is on the rise," Naylor coach Jim Carrier said. "The leadership and dedication they provide has been invaluable. They have made my job so much easier. I am forever grateful to them and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of their lives."
Clarkton 74,
North Pemiscot 39
The Reindeer (5-11) dominated the second quarter and outscored North Pemiscot 36-13 to take a 29 point lead into halftime. Lee Matney led Clarkton with 22 points while Layne Morgan and Zach Newton each got 12.
Viburnum 84,
East Carter 69
After staging a comeback with 22 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime, the Redbirds (6-12) were quit in extra time with five points.
Viburnum (8-9) pulled away at the foul line. It was 16 for 18 on free throws in the fourth quarter and 28 for 43 overall. Dalton Rudd led East Carter with 16 points. Cody Hampton got 14 while Conner Powell got 12.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Greenville 50, Clearwater 46
The Bears had one field goal in the fourth quarter and enough free throws to hang on. Greenville (7-10) was 7 for 15 from the foul line in the fourth quarter and 16 for 28 overall. It led by eight going into the fourth quarter. McKenzie Miller led Greenville with 17 points. Beth Bangert got 16 and Tristin Porter, who was 4 for 7 from the line in the fourth quarter, got 13.
Clearwater (7-10) was 6 for 7 on free throws in the fourth quarter and 14 for 19 overall. Cheyanne Burton led the Tigers with 19 points after making four 3-pointers and going 5 for 5 on free throws in the fourth quarter. Halle Gooch added 18 points.
Portageville 63, Campbell 53
In a back and forth game, Campbell (6-7) fell behind by eight after the first quarter, tied it up at halftime and fell behind by 10 after the third before a scoreless fourth quarter in the second round of the Bootheel Conference Tournament.
Claire Parker led Campbell with 21 points. She was the only Camel in double figures while Portageville (13-9) had three with at least 15 points. Dasmine Johnson led Portageivlle with 19 points.
