Gerald "Jerry" Deal, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Deal was born April 29, 1933, in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, worked as a contractor. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Deal enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His wife, Mary, survives. The couple married in 1958.
Also surviving are his daughter, Teresa Smarr and husband, Charles; and a grandson, Brian Smarr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Alda Deal; two sons, Gary Warren and Curtis Deal; and a brother, Eugene Deal.
Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at city cemetery.
