CAMPBELL, Mo. - James O'Neal, 77, of Campbell, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the University Of St. Louis Hospital in St. Louis.
James, son of John "Tot" and Tinie Hattie Smith O'Neal, was born on Sunday, May 12, 1940 in Campbell.
He was a 2nd generation peach grower and did this all his life with the exception of the 20 years he put in at Darling Store Fixtures in Piggott, Arkansas. He was a 55 year Mason and was a member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church.
On September 2, 1966 in Dexter, he was united in marriage to Verma Hisaw. She survives.
Other survivors include five sisters, Helen Shepard, Haliene Vincent, Glenda Greenwood (Frank) and Betty Bishop all of Campbell, Judy Pruett (Delbert) of Dexter; one brother, Jerry O'Neal of Campbell; Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother: Alvie O'Neal, Nephew: Greg Pruett and Great-Nephew: John Daniel Bishop
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with services beginning at 12 p.m. with Rev. James Hamlett officiating. Burial will follow at Elder Cemetery in Campbell.
