Carlos W. Lynch, 90, of Cadiz, Ky. passed away Jan. 18, 2018 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky. He was born Sept. 7, 1927 in Dudley, Mo. to the late Bennie and Bessie Lee Robinson Lynch. Carlos W. Lynch, 90, of Cadiz, Ky. passed away Jan. 18, 2018 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky.

He was born Sept. 7, 1927 in Dudley, Mo. to the late Bennie and Bessie Lee Robinson Lynch.

Mr. Lynch enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1945 and served on the island of Guam for two years after the war. Recalled to active duty during the Korean War in December 1951, just days before his original six year enlisted obligation expired, he was stationed at Camp Lejune, N. C. until December 1952. After being discharged, he returned to Michigan to resume his career as an automotive designer in Detroit, Mich. He worked briefly at General Motors and the Ford Motor Company before settling in for the long haul at Chrysler Corporation. After retiring from Chrysler, Mr. Lynch worked as a freelance designer for several more years at American Sunroof Corporation and Saturn Corporation. Notable designs Mr. Lynch worked on include the 1955 Ford Thunderbird and bringing back the convertible top to the Chevy Corvette line in 1986.

Along with his wife, Daisy, they lived with their two children in Troy, Mich., where he was active in Scouting and local politics, serving six years as a Troy City Commissioner. Upon his second retirement, they moved to Little River, S.C. for a number of years before a final relocation to Cadiz, Ky. in 2003. He was a member of the Marine League, an avid golfer and a member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Cantrell Lynch; brother, Willie Joe Lynch.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Karen Lynch; daughter, Deborah Kay Lynch; two brothers, Paul Lynch and Wallace Lynch, both of Puxico, and a number grandchildren and great grandchildren.

King's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. There will be no services.
