After 10 years with the Coldwell Banker franchise, Ruth Holloway Realty has decided to continue serving the area with a more visible and local presence.

"I felt like it was time for a change," owner Paul Arnold said. "We are well established throughout the whole area and now we can use and bring advertising dollars back to the area."

Ruth Holloway began the Poplar Bluff real estate business in 1984. Arnold bought the business in 2007 and teamed up with Coldwell Banker a year later.

To continue with the new and fresh ideas, Arnold said "RHR" on the new signage has received a lot of compliments.

"It's shorter, faster and easier," Arnold said. "That's the way the new generation is going."

Arnold also believes Ruth Holloway Realty will now be more visible and local than in the past.

Without a franchise delegating advertising dollars, Arnold said he will be able to bring the money back to the area.

"I feel like I have a better idea how to spend the money locally," Arnold said.

While the goal of any business is to be the most successful possible, Arnold said he believes advertising is the biggest key to any businesses' success.

Arnold said there are not many situations that arise the Ruth Holloway Realty agents have not dealt with during their careers.

"They have all areas covered with their expertise and knowledge," he said. "That is what people hire real estate agents for, help and knowledge."

"I'm excited about what we are doing," Arnold said. "I think this is a good move for the company and community."

Ruth Holloway Realty is located at 603 S. Westwood Boulevard, reached at 785-0867 and online at www.ruthhollowayrealty.com.
