TULSA, Okla. - James E Parker passed away Jan. 17 in Tulsa, Okla. He was born Nov. 15 1955 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was preceded in death by parents A. C. Parker, Mary Lou Parker and brother Jack Parker. Jim completed college with an Associate of Arts from Three Rivers Community College, Bachelor of Science from Southeast Missouri State University and Bachelors in Architecture from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture in Fayetteville.

Jim started the architectural firm Parker Associates in 1984 and was responsible for hundreds of multi-family housing projects across the country including Tulsa, Okla, Atlanta, Ga, Memphis Tenn. and many other cities. He was a member of AIA, NCARB and the Tulsa Garden Club.

Jim loved trains, gardening, classical music and photography. He filled his free time with board games, old western movies, Stephen King novels and relaxing with a doxie by his side. Along with being a generous and kind person he knew laughter was one of the most important parts of life and brought humor to everyone around him. His beloved wife of 33 years, Sharon Greenwood Parker, his cherished daughter, Catie and loving sister, Connie Hodge survive him.
