NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Howard Murrel Green, 94, passed away on Sat., Jan. 20, 2018 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mr. Green was born on August 1, 1923 in Corning, Ark. He worked as a farmer and had also worked in sawmill work. As well as working/owning a service station in Naylor. Howard was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Oxly.
On Aug. 28, 1943, he married Dorothy Cox in Ripley County. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2011.
He is survived by one son, Carl Green, of Jackson, Mo.; 1 granddaughter, Heather Schnurbuseh; 2 great granddaughters, Meagan Pulliam, Madison Schoolfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by, his parents, Ronald and Myrtle Green; 2 sisters, Daisey Hobbs and Vernice Barnes; 1 brother, William "Bud" Green; and 1 daughter-in-law, Barbara Green.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Ron Fowler officiating. Burial will take place at the Naylor Memorial Cemetery.
