BLOOMFIELD -- Senior Connor Goodwin scored a game-high 20 points as the Cardinals threw a wrench in the SCAA and eked out a 61-60 win over the Wildcats to come away with their second conference victory in as many days ahead of Monday's opening round of the conference tournament.

Tyler Massa chipped in 19 points for Woodland.

Carson Blair scored 18 points to pace Bloomfield (6-7, 1-3) while Dalton Phillips finished with 17 points for the Wildcats.

Woodland, seeded sixth, opens SCAA Tournament action at 6:30 p.m. Monday against third-seeded Bernie. Fifth-seeded Bloomfield is on the court at 5 p.m. Tuesday against fourth-seeded Puxico. All games will be played at the Bearcat Event Center in Dexter.

Malden 62,

Portageville 53

Broddric Annesser scored 31 points to lead Green Wave to a road win Friday night. The senior scored 12 second-quarter points as Malden took the lead for good.

Cape Central 69, Doniphan 39

The Tigers roared out to a 20-9 lead after one quarter Friday night and continued to pull away at Doniphan.

Trent Lippoldt paced Doniphan with 10 points, and the Dons' leading scorer Klay Barton, was held to six.

The Doniphan-Naylor makeup game has been rescheduled for Wednesday in Doniphan.
