Thomas L. Danner, Sr., 88, of Clubb, Mo. died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 4, 1929 in Kennett, Mo. to the late John Danner and Myrtle Limbaugh Danner. He was a long time resident of Wayne County.

On Dec. 2, 1950 he married Kathryn Brown of Glennonville at Piggott, Ark. She survives.

Thomas spent his childhood at Qulin. He was a farmer in Clubb and was employed as a foreman at Glasgow Electric in St. Louis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Danner, Jr. (Mary) of Houston, Texas, and Darrel Danner (Elaine) of Fort Mill, S.C.; one brother, Joe Danner of Rogersville, Mo.: one sister Janie Derbes of New Orleans, La.; and four grandsons, Thomas III, Kyle, Ryan, and Chad.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.. Elder Robert Duckett will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
