Ricker finished with eight points and the buzzer beater was his first points since the first quarter. VIBURNUM, Mo. -- Kory Ricker hit a game-winner at the buzzer to lift Van Buren to a 71-70 win over Viburnum.

Ricker finished with eight points and the buzzer beater was his first points since the first quarter.

Jacob Brown led the Bulldogs (4-3) with 23 points after sinking six 3-pointers, including three in the third quarter. Hayden Towner and Conner Jackson each had 12 points for Van Buren.

Andy O'Dell led Viburnum with 24 points while Ethan Boyle had 23 and Cooper Davis got 17.

Bernie 49, Neelyville 44

The Mules outscored Neelyville 20-11 in the third quarter to take a six point lead going into the fourth. They then went 6 for 8 at the foul line to hold off the Tigers (9-2).

Nate Dillinger led Bernie (7-0) with 16 points, 13 of which was in the second half. He was 2 for 2 on free throws in the fourth quarter. Hunter Slavings sank three 3-pointers in the first half and finished with 13 points for Bernie.

Curtis Fowler led Neelyville with 12 points, half of which was in the third quarter. Wyatt Moon had five of Neelyville's 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Tigers tried for a comeback. Both of Neelyville's losses this season are to Bernie.

GIRLS

Van Buren 65, Viburnum 41

The Lady Dawgs dominated the third quarter, outscoring Viburnum 25-6, to pull away for the win.

Jalynn Morgan led Van Buren with 22 points after scoring at least four in every quarter. Jenny Morey had 12 of Van Buren's 25 points in the third quarter and finished with 20 points. Hannah Zimmer sank all three of Van Buren's 3-pointers and finished with 16 points.
