O'Neal Elementary School has selected their Students of the Month for September, October and November.
September
First grader Audrina Dye, daughter of Andrea Ferguson and Jimmy Dye, Jr. was selected her teacher, Amy Courtney. Her hobbies are playing with her little pony, shopping, hanging out with her sisters, paint pictures, feed and take care of turkeys at her at dad's house. Her favorite subjects are music and math. Gymnastics, track and soccer are Audrina's extra-curricular activities. When she grows up, Audrina wants to be a veterinarian and a chef.
Lillie Johnson, second grader and daughter of Darren and Rachel Johnson, was chosen by her teacher, Karen Hogg, because she consistently exemplifies the qualities of an exceptional student. She is very conscientious in her work, always putting forth her best effort. Lillie is kind and helpful to teachers and her fellow classmates. She follows school rules and is a great example to everyone.
Her hobbies are: Tae Kwon do and gymnastics. Her favorite book is "Amelia Bedelia." Music and math are her favorite subjects. Lillie loves to play with her pets. She plans to be a vet because she really likes to be around animals.
Third grader Garrett Moore, son of Shawn and Mandy Moore, shows perseverance when doing his assignments. His teacher, Laura Payne, likes that he never complains when he has to spend more time getting assignments done. he always tries to do his best.
Garrett like to play with his dogs, Moses and Bertha. His favorite book is "Ninja Weenies." Grammar is his favorite subject. In his spare time, Garrett likes to draw.
When he grows up, he wants to be in the military.
William Dahlgren, son of Pam and Rick Dahlgren, was chosen by his third grade teacher, Dustie Curnutt because he is fun, loving, and hard working. His hobbies are drawing and making campfires. Perry Books are his favorite. Read and Specials are his favorite school subjects. In his leisure time, William draws. When he grows up, he wants to be a chef.
October
James Baker, son of Leanne and Dave Baker, was selected as Student of the Month by his teacher, Alicia Bacon, because he is a great listener, always respectful and kind to other students and teacher, and a model student. His hobby is basketball. James' favorite book is"Paw Patrol." Spelling is his favorite subject. In his free time, he likes to play with toys at home. When he grows up, James wants to be a fire fighter.
First graders Gabby McDowell, daughter of Scott and Michelle McDowell, was chosen by her teacher, Patrick Carda because she is always excited about P. E. activities. She listens and follows directions at all times. She is very competitive, along with excellent sportsmanship and an outstanding runner. Her hobbies are shooting her bow, swimming, drawing, crafts, and anything outdoors. Her favorite book is "Gemstones," and Geo Kids Magazine and Kid's Dictionaries. P. E., art and math are her favorite subject. Her spare is devoted to drawing and playing outside.
Anything that will help animals or people and anything outdoors.
Second grader Gracie Lawson, daughter of Jimmie and Holly Lawson, was selected by her teacher, Christine Spencer because she is kind and helpful to both her classmates and teachers. Gracie always follows directions when they are given. She is very friendly and shares with her classmates. She also has perfect attendance this year. Gracie loves to play soccer and to read. Her favorite books is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus." Reading and computer lab are her favorite subjects. In her spare time, she likes to play with her dog, Arlo, and watch movies. Gracie wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Another second grader, Emma Wallace, daughter of Jessica Barnes and Robert Wallace, was chosen by her teacher, Tammy Miller. Emma is a delightful student who is always happy to work hard no matter how difficult the task. She remembers corrections and focuses to make improvements when working. Emma is always upbeat and brings a positive influence to those around her. She is polite, eager to please, and she always has a friendly smile on her face. Emma likes to play with her sister and to play video games. The Pigeon books are her favorite. Math is her favorite subject. In her spare time, she likes to read. When she grows up she wants to be a vet.
Palyn Patrick, daughter of Abby Mickey, was named Student of the Month by her third grade teacher, Allison Bell, because she is a sweet, caring, polite students. Palyn is a great friend and a super helper. She shows great determination in her school work and always follows the rules. Her teacher appreciates her sweet personality, pretty smiles, and fantastic work ethic. Her hobbies are: gymnastics, kayaking, piano, church, swimming and going to the river. Her favorite book is "The Dearest Little Mouse in the World." Math and reading are her favorite subjects. Palyn likes to play with her cat and spend time with her family and friends. She wants to be an Olympic gymnast and an attorney when she grows up.
November
This month's Students of the Month are all third graders. Ryland Fisher, son of Erica Hubbard and Dustin Fisher, was selected by the school librarian, Ashley Robertson. His hobbies are: watching "You Tube" on his X-Box and playing basketball. Spelling is his favorite subject. After school he goes to the Boys and Girls club. When he grows up Ryland wants to be a police office.
Nylah Ison, daughter of Rebekah Burke and Eric Ison, was chosen by her teacher, Andrea Cline. Her grandparents are: Gary and Nancy Burke and her great-grandmother is Deloris Hood. Nylah's favorite subject is math. Her extra-curricular activities include: basketball, soccer, trampoline, and swimming. When she grows up she wants to play basketball, softball or be a teacher.
Charles Langley, son of Gary Schmidt, was named Student of the Month by his teacher, Christine Risinger. Her hobbies are: playing outside, working on trucks, playing with dogs, and taking care of baby Gary. He likes to work on cars/trucks in her spare time. When he grows up, Charles wants to be a mechanic or house builder.
Landon Peoples was selected by his teacher, Kristen Brooks. His hobbies are reading and drawing pictures for friends. His favorite subject is reading. When he grows up, Landon wants to be a professional pop-star singer.
