ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- William Eugene Freer, age 83, of Arnold, Mo., passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at his home.
He was born May 28, 1934, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the son of the late Lena Mae (nee Cole) and Charles Henry Freer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Billie JoAnn (nee Christopher) Freer; a brother Ralph (the late Letha) Freer; a sister Betty (the late John) Clark; and a granddaughter Jessica Freer.
He is survived by his son, Charles Henry (Linda) Freer of Pevely, Mo.; daughter, Vivian Lynn (Chris Conway) Freer of Liberty, Mo.; stepson, Ricky Johnson; granddaughter, Chrystl Marie Freer-Winick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver with Roadway Express.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Holiday Inn St. Louis-South County Center, 6921 S. Lindberg Blvd., St. Louis, Mo., 63125.
Private family interment in Oak Hill Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
