Clara Nadine Gunter, 86, of Poplar Bluff departed this life to live forever with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, Dec. 16, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Gunter was born July 22, 1931, in Poplar Bluff. She was a nurse's aide and took pleasure in helping the sick.
She was a Christian woman, who loved her Oglesville General Baptist Church family. She was ordained into the ministry in Baton Rouge, La., in 1993, along with her husband, Frank Everett Gunter.
She married Frank Gunter Sept. 10, 1989, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Cheryl Phillips and Steve (Patricia) Woods, 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her first husband, William Wood; her father, Harry Payne and her mother, Eilleen Payne.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mike Price officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
