BERNIE, Mo. - Carl Gene Keasler, son of the late Bert Keasler and Lucy Jones Keasler, was born in Parma, Mo., on Jan. 17, 1930 and departed this life at his residence in Bernie on Dec. 8, 2017, at the age of 87.
Mr. Keasler is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a retired farmer and a resident of Bernie. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Vieth in Vinson, Mo., on Oct. 5, 1956. Mrs. Keasler survives in their home in Bernie.
Other survivors include two sons, Brad Keasler and wife Debbie of the state of Michigan and Kris Keasler and wife Cathy of Bernie; three daughters, Kathy King and husband Paul of Cordova, Tenn., Kerri Patton and husband Bill of Collierville, Tenn. and Kim Keasler of Lakeland, Tenn.; twelve grandchildren; also by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death, other than by his parents, by four brothers, Kenneth Keasler, Claude Keasler, Clyde Keasler and Curtis Keasler; by one great-grandson, Jackson May.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors. Pastor Dale Hartle will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jackson Cooper May Memorial Fund, Highpoint Church, 6000 Briar Crest Ave., Memphis, Tenn., 38120. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
