Dante Piroli, 87, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 28, 1930 to Guy and Marina (Battisti) Piroli in Aliquippa, Pa. Dante served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Africa working in communications during the Korean War. Dante retired as a currier for First Midwest Bank.

He, and his son Ray, enjoyed building and flying ultra-lite aircraft as well model and remote control airplanes. Dante had a passion for all types of woodworking.

On Oct. 13, 1951, he married Wilma Mayes in Los Angles, Calif.

Dante is survived by his loving spouse of 66 years, Wilma; two children: Debera (David) Moyer and Raymond Piroli; four grandchildren: David Moyer, Derrick Moyer, Christopher (Jennifer) Piroli, and Wendy Piroli; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ted Piroli.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Delores Lascola.

Visitation will be held from 1 -2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Ben Hager officiating. Burial will take place in the Cochran Cemetery.
