MaKayla Waldner was one of three Mississippi State University soccer players to be named to the All-Southeast Region team.
The Dexter alumna was a third-team forward selection. She led Mississippi State with nine of the team's 32 goals. It put Waldner sixth in program history for goals in a season and the Bulldogs set a new team record for goals in a season. Waldner was also a second team All-SEC selection.
Over 16 games, Waldner also had one assist, 56 shots and 23 shots on goal. She had two goals, an assist and 18 shots on goal as a freshman.
She started all 16 games this season and played 1,246 minutes. Against Missouri on Sept. 21, Waldner had arguably her best game of the season with two goals and five shots on goal over 70 minutes. It was her only multi-goal game of the season.
She played at least 90 minutes four times and logged a season high 110 minutes in a 1-1 tie against South Alabama on Sept. 10.
Mississippi State finished 9-5-4 on the season.
Paige Patterson (Dexter) had a double-double for Evangel University on Wednesday with 14 points and 15 rebounds. She also had an assist and a steal as Evangel lost to Graceland (Iowa) 65-63. Patterson was 6 for 15 shooting and 2 for 5 on free throws.
Teammate Alison Jarrell (Dexter) added 10 points, five assists and two rebounds. Jarrell was 2 for 8 on 3-pointers and 4 for 14 overall.
Hannah Noe (Dexter) finished with 18 points and three rebounds for Evansville University 79-53 win over Westminster College on Nov. 21.
Melanie McKuin (Dexter) had six points and two rebounds for Williams Baptist College in a 58-56 win over Blue Mountain College on Nov. 21.
Jaysea Morgan (Twin Rivers) had eight points, two assists and two steals for Webster University in a 70-64 loss to Augustana College (Ill.) on Saturday. Morgan was 4 for 9 shooting over 22 minutes.
Emily Eaker (Neelyville) led Crowley's Ridge College with 14 points over 31 minutes in a 80-44 loss to Vanguard University (Calif.) on Monday. Eaker was 4 for 8 shooting and 3 for 6 on 3-pointers while Crowley's Ridge shot 28.3 percent as a team.
Justas Furmanavicius (Three Rivers) had nine points and three rebounds for Ole Miss in a 79-62 win over Rice University on Nov. 22.
