WILLIAMSVILLE, Mo. -- Doris Jean McDaniel, 68, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at Parkland Hospital in Farmington, Mo. Mrs. McDaniel, the daughter of Robert Laverne and Mae Carmelita (Mattingly) Shelton, was born Aug. 5, 1949 in Owensboro, Ky. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, planting flowers, traveling and cooking large meals for family and friends...

WILLIAMSVILLE, Mo. -- Doris Jean McDaniel, 68, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at Parkland Hospital in Farmington, Mo.

Mrs. McDaniel, the daughter of Robert Laverne and Mae Carmelita (Mattingly) Shelton, was born Aug. 5, 1949 in Owensboro, Ky. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, planting flowers, traveling and cooking large meals for family and friends.

On Aug. 25, 1985 she married Mike McDaniel in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include six children, Stacey Wells, Michael Chism, Perry McDaniel, Mike McDaniel, Jr., Mark McDaniel and Rick McDaniel; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Shelton and Anthony Shelton and a sister, Rita Herndon.

Her father, Robert Laverne Shelton, two brothers, William Shelton and John Shelton, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Wappapello Chapel with the Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Butler County.
