DONIPHAN, Mo. -- Henry Thomas Gimlin, Sr., 73-year-old resident of Doniphan, departed this life Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Gimlin was born Feb. 4, 1944 in Ponder, Mo. to the late Amos and Sarah Wilder Gimlin. Mr. Gimlin was a sawmiller and enjoyed playing poker, playing the lottery, watching cars drive by his house, watching Wheel of Fortune, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ellen, Rosie, and Connie; and brother Robert.
He is survived by children, Henry Thomas Gimlin, Jr. (Shirley), Bobby Joe Gimlin, Cassidie Gimlin, and Terry Purvis, all of Doniphan,; sisters, Mary Meyers and Edna Gordon, both of Doniphan; four grandchildren, Ashley Gimlin, Matthew Hunter Bruce, Leland Thomas Bruce, Tucker Dean Bruce; and one great-granddaughter, Kyndyll Kylie Dickson; and good pal Cody Redus.
Visitation will held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jared Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.
