GREENVILLE, Mo. -- Lonnie Dean Robertson, born Sept. 9, 1957, passed on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He leaves behind his mother, Bettie and husband, Jim Gallamore; wife of 27 years, Carolyn; daughter, Crystal Henson and husband, Bobby, of Piedmont, and daughter Carrie Robertson, of the family home; granddaughter:, Peyton and Piper Henson; one brother, Glenn Robertson and wife, Kathy, sister, Lisa Loury and husband, Kenny, and sister, Tracey Gallamore; nephews: Glen Allen Robertson and wife, Bobbi, and Michael Loury; close friends: Kerry and Theresa Corwin, Jinene and Rob Trejo, Joe Payne, and Debbie and Danny Payne, (more) and so many more.. ...

He leaves behind his mother, Bettie and husband, Jim Gallamore; wife of 27 years, Carolyn; daughter, Crystal Henson and husband, Bobby, of Piedmont, and daughter Carrie Robertson, of the family home; granddaughter:, Peyton and Piper Henson; one brother, Glenn Robertson and wife, Kathy, sister, Lisa Loury and husband, Kenny, and sister, Tracey Gallamore; nephews: Glen Allen Robertson and wife, Bobbi, and Michael Loury; close friends: Kerry and Theresa Corwin, Jinene and Rob Trejo, Joe Payne, and Debbie and Danny Payne, (more) and so many more.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father Roy Robertson; paternal grandparents: Alfred and Alberta Robertson, and his maternal grandparents: Richard and Vernice Fowlkes.

Lonnie was born in St. Louis and raised in Poplar Bluff. He was a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University; he served two years in the US Army and retired as a Major in the Missouri National Guard. Lonnie retired from the State of Missouri as a nursing home surveyor. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 153 in Poplar Bluff and was on the board of directors at the Ozark Federal Credit Union for 20 years. He had a passion for motorcycles, and a love for camping and floating. He was an avid gardener and wood worker. A quiet and reserved man, but he was quick to show his love to his wife, children, grandchildren, friends, family and especially his Mom. Lonnie wasn't a dress up guy, and to honor him the family requests casual attire.

Family Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7 and friends from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Greenville. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the funeral home chapel. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley.a

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions have been requested to the Wounded Warriors Project of POW.
