Charles Raulston, 71, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Raulston was born July 31,1946 in Poplar Bluff. He attended New Home General Baptist Church. He was a master carpenter and baled hay.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was a Staff Sergeant and a drill instructor for basic training in Ft. Hood, Texas. Mr. Raulston enjoyed playing pool, watching Cardinal baseball and westerns on TV, hunting, fishing, mowing yard, driving his tractor baling hay, and spending time with his family and friends.
On June 27,1981 he married Bettie Raulston (Pitt) at Memorial Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death, April 16, 2016.
Surviving are children: Riley Raulston, Michelle Crutchfield and husband, Corey, Charles Raulston II and fiancée, Melissa; step-son: Mark McMullin and wife, Kim; nieces who are like daughters: Tresa Pratt and Lisa Aubuchon; brothers: Charles Leonard Raulston; childhood friend like a brother: Kenny Barker; sister: Beulah Pratt; grandchildren: Cori Ruprecht, Courtney Raulston, Riley Raulston, Jay Raulston, Craig Crutchfield, Kiersten Crutchfield, and soon-to-be grandchild, Isabelle Tucker; great-grandchildren: Max and Miles Ruprecht.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Thomas Raulston and Sally Evieline Raulston (Robbins), wife, Bettie, brothers: Riley and Lenny Raulston.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4 with Rev. Calvin Buhler officiating. Burial will follow in the City Cemetery.
