NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Rev. Jeff Fails, 50, of Neelyville, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Aug.9, 1967 in Little Rock, Ark. A resident of Butler County since 1984, he also had lived in Albuquerque, N. M. He was owner-operator of Jeff's Handyman Service.
June 24, 1988, he married Laurie Elizabeth Reed in Naylor. She survives.
Other survivors are two sons: Christian Fails of Naylor and Chance Fails, and wife, Katie, of Neelyville; a daughter, Mariah Fails, of Neelyville; father and mother-in-law, Ron and Brenda Reed of Neelyville; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Pam Reed of Naylor; mother, Carol Eades Fails and brother, David Fails, both of Albuquerque; sister, Wilma "Judy" Choice and husband, Ben, of Albuquerque.
He was preceded in death by his father., Jeremiah Fails.
Rev. Fails loved music, working on vehicles, his family, the God he served and his church and camping.
A member of the Naylor Pentecostal Church, he was assistant pastor, youth leader, Sunday school teach and had served as church bus driver.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, at Naylor Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at Coon Island Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be made to Fowler & Sons Funeral Home.
