QULIN, Mo. - George Arnold Owens came into this world by the grace of God on July 1st, 1957. He left this world as he entered: by the grace of God on October 25, 2017.
He was a farmer for M&S Farms in Qulin, MO. He was most known for his junking abilities. If you needed it and could describe it he could find it for you. He was a member of the Oglesville Baptist Church and loved gospel singing, traveling miles to hear his favorite groups. He made several trips to North Carolina for the annual "Singing in The Smokies" to hear The McKameys and The Inspirations and other groups that sing his beloved gospel music.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing two sisters: Cindy Shipman (Haney), Sandra Kayser (Robert), one brother: James H Owens, Jr. (Kathryn) all of Qulin, MO. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents James H. Owens, Sr., Bonnie (Mobley) Owens, two sisters: Linda Kayser, Joann Rose, two infant sisters: Marsha Lynn Owens and Deborah Lynn Owens. three nephews: Stacy Lynn Shipman, Farrell (Dobber) Shipman, Jr., and Jason Rose.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Price and Rev. Roscoe Gray officiating. Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery.
