Mary Louise Ursery, 84, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at Cedargate Healthcare in Poplar Bluff.
She was born June 3, 1933 to Robert and Velma (Coleman) Fowler. On Oct. 23, 1954 she married Albert H. Ursery in Spokane, Wash. He preceded her in death, Dec. 15, 2005. During their marriage she and Albert traveled extensively due to his military career. They made their home in Poplar Bluff in 1968.
Mary loved to work on the farm. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, wood carving, carpentry, oil painting, swimming, traveling. She was a dedicated Cub Scout Den Leader when her kids were young. Later in life she volunteered at the Kindergarten Center in Poplar Bluff. Most of all she enjoyed her family time and especially crafting with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her four children: Austin (Vickie) Ursery of South Weber, Utah; Anita (Bill) Knuckles of Springfield, Mo., Alan (Sheila) Ursery of Poplar Bluff, and Doug (Letitia) Ursery of Kennett, Mo.; 14 grandchildren: Christina (Ravi) Narasimhan, Sonya Heddle, Willie Knuckles, Samantha (Chris) Oryshyn, Carter (Mallory) Knuckles, Ben Knuckles, Nicholas Ursery, Sarah Ursery, Abbey Ursery, Mikayla Ursery, Megan Ursery, Katelyn Fritz, Mallory (Drake) Dunnaway, and Tucker Fritz; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don Fowler of Spokane, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three siblings, and one grandson, Christopher Ursery.
Visitation will be held from 1 - 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017 at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.
Memorial Services will be held immediately following visitation at 2:30 p.m. in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
