ELLSINORE, Mo. -- Jerry Lee Walters, 62, of Ellsinore, son of the late Lester and Peggy (Harris) Walters was born May 9, 1955 in Saint Louis, and departed this life, Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at his residence.
Jerry had resided in Ellsinore for 32 years and was formerly of Fenton, Mo. He was of the General Baptist faith, and had attended the New Hope Church in Ellsinore. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, looking for mushrooms and cutting firewood. Jerry was a good person with a great sense of humor who liked to see people laugh. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was a hard worker that always gave his best effort at anything that he was doing.
On Nov. 26, 1983, he was united in marriage to Cindy Adams in Ellsinore. She survives of the home.
Survivors include one son, Jeremy and Mindy Simpson of Ellsinore; two daughters: Tanya Adams of Poplar Bluff, and Mandy and Shayne Gore of Ellsinore; one brother, Steve and Gina Walters of Bonne Terre; one sister, Laurie Yocom of Springfield; one sister-n-law, Barbara Walters of New Jersey; four grandchildren: Coby, Shayne , Kelsey, Nichole and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition, to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Walters.
A visitation will be at noon, Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tom Wilder will be officiating. Burial will be in Whites Mill Cemetery.
