From staff reports

The Missouri Department of Conservation has announced the lateral transfer of conservation agent Tyler Harding to Ripley County.

Harding will fill the vacant position created when conservation agent Jason Langston transferred to Oregon County. He officially began his new duties on Oct. 1.

Harding is a native of the Doniphan area and served as an agent in St. Francois County for the past three years.

Harding attended Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff for two years and completed his education at Missouri State University in Springfield, where he earned bachelors degrees in criminology and wildlife management. After graduation, he worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation in the wildlife division.

In 2015, he attended the conservation agent training academy and was assigned to St. Francois County following graduation.

Harding spent many hours fishing and hunting while growing up in the Ozark Foothills just north of Doniphan. During his early years, he learned to have a special appreciation for conservation and the outdoors.

Harding said he and his wife are very excited to be back in Ripley County.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue my career in Ripley County," he said.
