The 2017 Poplar Bluff Fall Pediatric Workshop, presented by SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, EMS Outreach Team, of St. Louis, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Air Evac Lifeteam, 2979 Highway B.. Registration with breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Medical professionals are invited to select either the morning or afternoon skill stations and attend the lectures to receive CEU or contact hour credit. No partial credit will be awarded.
There will be three 30-minute rotating Pediatric Skills and Scenario Stations beginning at 9 a.m.: pediatric airway and tracheostomy, pediatric shock, and cardiac arrest simulation. Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injuries will be presented from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Lunch, sponsored by Air Evac Lifeteam will be served from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Pediatric Emergency Medication Administration and Calculations will be discussed from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m., followed by a one hour presentation on Pediatric Burns. The morning 30-minute rotating Pediatric Skills and Scenario Stations will be offered again from 3 - 4:30 p.m.
After attending the class and completing the online evaluation, participants will receive 4.5 EMS CEUs or 4.5 nursing contact hours.
