PIEDMONT, Mo. -- Alma Jean Kleisner, 87, of New Bern, N.C., formerly of Iron and Wayne counties, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Homeplace of New Bern in North Carolina.
She was born Dec. 16, 1929, to the late Raymond Miller and Alma (Meyers) Miller in Annapolis, Mo.
In addition to her parents, Alma is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kleisner; one infant daughter, Sandra Lee Whellis; one brother, Donald Miller; and her step-mother, Sylvia Miller.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby Kleisner and his wife, Melissa, of Trent Wood, N.C., and Jeff Kleisner and his wife, Tracy, of Minerva, Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth Marvin Miller of Mill Spring, Mo., and Glen Ronald Miller and his wife, Virgie, of Piedmont, Mo.; one sister, Mary Woods of Piedmont, Mo.; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Kleisner, Stephen Kleisner, McKenna Patterson, Marty Kleisner, Robert A. Kleisner III, Gavin Glover, and Jacob Glover.
Alma worked as a sewing machine operator for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was of the Christian Faith.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. also at the Piedmont Chapel. Burial will be at Annapolis Cemetery. Pastor Elmo Parker will minister to the family.
