CORNING, Ark -- Josephine Garver, 93, of Corning passed away Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Corning Therapy and Living Center.
Mrs. Garver was a farmer and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. She was of the General Baptist faith.
On Sept. 8, 1940 she married Doyle Garver. He preceded her in death, June 12, 1988.
Survivors include children Ronnie (Pornchai) Garver of O'Fallon, Mo., Jackie (Melba) Garver of Poplar Bluff, and Judy Catt of Corning; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; one nephew; and several friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Roy and Julie (McCleskey) Calhoun; brother James Calhoun; son-in-law Ronald Catt; and grandson-in-law Lonnie McKinney.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at1 p.m., in the funeral home with Jamey Bland officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery, McDougal.
